About The Location Portal
The Location Portal has a relationship with almost every office building management team in the city. Our experience in commercial real estate provides our property clients the satisfaction of knowing the location filming process will be handled in the most professional manner and with minimal impact to their property, its tenants and visitors. Our experience provides our production clients with a streamlined process in having a liaison that is experienced in both property management and film production. In other words, The Location Portal is able to understand both clients’ needs and works to ensure that those needs are met.
Film Production Relationships
The Location Portal has a relationship with key production clients, including location managers and scouts, directors, producers, studios and production companies. Thus, the exposure for our property clients to the film industry is significant. The Location Portal is informed as to all local governmental requirements and has access to new technologies that streamline the filming process. The Location Portal is able to ensure that both our property and production clients have a positive experience and build an ongoing mutually beneficial relationship.
Heather has an extensive background in commercial real estate, having managed million square foot high rises in Los Angeles. In 2005, Heather made the transition into film production, and also worked as a consultant to commercial property owners, helping them enhance revenue through filming. In 2007, Heather formed The Location Portal, enabling her to fully serve property and production clients’ filming needs. Heather’s understanding of these needs coupled with her experience in property operations and film production make her a valuable asset to The Location Portal team.
Heather is a graduate of the Claremont Colleges, a published author and has raised millions for charitable causes, including Hope for Firefighters and the United Nations Association. She lives in Redondo Beach, California with her husband and twin eight-year-olds.
Chris brings over twenty years of experience in location filming representation to The Location Portal, having served as Vice President of Marketing for Hollywood Locations where he negotiated thousands of productions and produced millions in revenue for commercial real estate clients. After this, Chris went on to form his own company leasing and managing real estate. In 2010, he joined The Location Portal and brought his extensive knowledge of film production and commercial real estate to The Location Portal team.
Chris is an accomplished photographer and web developer. He lives in Lake Balboa, California with his wife and seventeen-year-old son.
